Happy National Physical Therapy Month!

As a Physical Therapist I get to help people every day and watch their progress overtime. Seeing their success fuels me and reinforces the fact that I have chosen the right career path.

When I was 15 years old I was exposed to the profession following ankle ligament reconstruction surgery. I was devastated to be forced on the sidelines for months, but I was fortunate enough to have an awesome Physical Therapist who helped get me back on the field. From that day on I knew I wanted to help others just as he had helped me.

Over the 7 years of school that it takes to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I only became more fascinated with the body, the treatments, the profession, and the skills to develop in order to get people back to the activities they love.

PT is not only for people rehabbing an injury, it also can act as preventative medicine by teaching people how to best help themselves and move better. The sooner someone invests in their health and wellness, the more fulfillment they can get out of life.

In New York State a person does not need a prescription to see a PT first. This can save someone hours in the waiting room, have less medical bills, and find out what's going on with their body sooner than later.

I founded Powerful Physical Therapy in order to ensure that every person gets the undivided attention from a PT, that each session is catered specifically to their needs and goals, and to help as many people as I can as a way to pay it forward.
